Day 11 & 12

Thank you for everyone's comments on here, email, social media,  the comments are really appreciated and help to keep us motivated. So we did not go into the 5 star hotel for breakfast, as I feared I would never leave. Two Kiwi ladies later told us they had stayed there and the breakfast was a big disappointment as no eggs and bacon. Good decision then!
Walk, eat, wash clothes, sleep and repeat. Day 11 of walking, what have we learnt? Mainly I have no demons or baggage to leave behind on this trip. Although this was not the case a few years ago, and why I am now so passionate about raising funds for the CPP to thank them for their support. This trip is about people, my faith in humanity has been restored. Everyone is so nice and I don't want to arrest anyone. We are now taking more breaks and talking to others about their journey. We have met so many inspirational people including the lovely lady who is on her last round of chemo and they can't do anything else for her. She is not ready to die so is walking the Camino with her sister. The lady whose arthritis is getting worse and her boss has given her extended time off to walk her dream before she can no longer walk it. The young lad who can't go back to Ukraine. So my throbbing feet just need to be ignored as petty and we carry on with a positive mindset. We have 21 more days to walk and just a little more than 500 km go.
Our spirits were lifted today when my bro, his amazing wife and daughters came to visit us for lunch in Burgos. X

Greg's update. Blister (small) and niggly upper back muscle but in light of all above I've been reminded to stop moaning. I haven't been. Only mentioned that matching my pace, while doing a little dance to Levitating by Dua Lipa was a bad idea and I suspect the cause of the blister. AND! AND! Breakfast this morning was a bacon and egg baguette at about 8km with a big mug of tea. So happy.

You two are an absolute inspiration - although I’m not walking an excessively long way, you have both shown the positive effect of a life in bite size chunks and remaining positive and finding the positivity in the smallest kindness.
I’m sending huge hugs from Oxfordshire, Other half is well up for following in your footsteps - although I draw the line at him in the mankini - sorry Gregoir!
Tbf I’d have gone 5 star breakfast to go!
Keep on keeping on - loving reading the blog and we look forward to seeing you both and toasting your successes, for a ridiculously long overdue drink together xxxx
